My children are such amazing wonderful beings. They brighten my day like nothing else. I have so many vivid memories, just from this last week, of times of joy with them. Last Friday, we were all just playing on the floor laughing. Monday, I watch Micah grin and grin at her big brother, she is in love. I think she'd marry him, if she could. Yesterday, Tyler and Micah played in Micah's crib - watching the mobile over and over again. Today was so difficulty for me (very little sleep last night) and my kids were angels!! ANGELS!!! Did they know? I explained it to Tyler. "Mommy doesn't feel good so I really need your help today." Tyler played with Micah tons, he would share his cars with her or (if he didn't feel like sharing) he would get her a different toy to play with. Tons of hugging, patting and loving today. Tyler was very obedient, fun, funny AND took a nap today. (all of us did). Micah was her normal "easy baby" self, just hanging out smiling all day long!!
In spite of the fact that I am totally enjoying my children, AND the fact that I can clearly see that they are going to be great playmates and friends; I am totally done having kids. Don't get me wrong - I would love to have three little munchkins around - but I can't do this a third time. I can't be pregnant again, I can't go through all this allergy stuff again, and I CERTAINLY cannot survive this insomnia again, that is cause by my children disrupting my sleep. I PRAY hard that Micah will soon learn to sleep through the night and then so will I, so that I can survive. Please PRAY PRAY PRAY for a baby that sleeps through the night soon.

Family
Here is an update on everyone - youngest to oldest
Micah: She is sitting up on her own now. Not for long periods of time, but she is doing it. I have found that she doesn't like sweet things. When I feed her pears or apples, she shutters and makes a sour face. When I feed her peas or green beans, she just opens her mouth for more. Hmmm - lovin' those veggies. Mommy is still hoping for her to sleep through the night - but once at night wake up is ok for now.
Tyler: He is so sweet. His Sunday school teacher says that he loves to give her kisses on the arm. Very typical of our boy. All day long he will give me kisses and hugs. What a cuttle bug. He is not napping these days. It seems as if those come and go. He will at least stay in his room for an hour and a half, while I get a break from him :). Preschool starts in about three weeks. That will be great for him. His preschool offers swimming lessons each week. Another random thought. We listen to the radio during the day, so Tyler randomly likes to sing "104.9 the river" throughout the day (when the radio isn't on).
Kara (mommy): So I slept last night - but it was a drug induced sleep. I took some unisom. Ummm - it took until about 5:00 pm to shake off the "day after" grogginess. Which is worse - not sleeping and feeling yucky the next day OR sleeping and feeling yucky the next day. I have also applied for a job working at our neighborhood YMCA. They have a place where you can drop your kids off while you work out. I am applying to work with those kids. I can take my kids with me while I work. FUN.
Dave (daddy): He's a great man. Right now giving the kids a bath to get them in bed. Bath duty is his every night. He continues to work on the house (cleaning the garage, mowing the lawn) on the weekends. I guess that is a dad's job. Dave is also the movie rental guy. Whenever we want to watch a movie - he will go to the famous "redbox" and rent it for us. Well recently he has not been successful at picking good movies. Benjamin Button (BORING) and a few others were not at all good for us.

This is not right!
Normal people don't live like this. Healthy people don't live like this. I am awak at 4:30 in the morning. I have been awake since 1:00 when Micah woke us up. We tried something new. Dave was going to deal with her and feed her, hoping that it would allow me to sleep. Funny. It actually made thing worse. We were both up, longer with her than if I would have just ran in there and fed her. So, Dave went back to bed around 2:00 - I am still awake. I really think there must be some sort of medial reason for this. I am so glad that I am going to see my midwife on Monday. She HAS to run some tests on me or give me something. Tomorrow I will take some unisome. People have suggested it to me, but I haven't tried it yet. It does have corn in it. So we'll see how Micah does with that. I also sit here and wonder if it has something to do with nursing or post pardome. Seems a little late in the stage of post pardome for that, but what the heck. It REALLY REALLY makes me want to stop nursing. Maybe hormones from nursing are messing with me. Maybe becuase I cannot eat much, that is messing with me. I think I did fall asleep for about 15 min at around 2:30 - but who knows. At about 3:30 any signs of tiredness left me and I am wide awake now. Again, this cannot be right or healthy. Time to get medical help!

This is new!
So I have realized that a lot of my friends really do post on blogs, and I read their posts. So I will try again to start posting. Maybe someone will read this.
Many of you know, I am on a very resricted diet. It stinks major. BUT I have just found a dessert I can eat. Fried bananas. I just sent Dave to the store to get me more bananas. I will fry them up and eat them. YUM!!!
Micah is less than 1 week away from 6 months old. I think we are getting close to dropping the 3rd nap - I am certainly ready. Two long naps and no third nap would equal a really early bed time OR two shorter naps (I would have to wake her from one or both) with the third catnap equals a bit later bedtime. I'm not sure which I prefer. Probably the bit later bed time at this point.
Tyler just turned 3 in June AND he is not napping much at all. He does stay in bed as long as I make him. I try to not make him stay up there for more than 1.5 hours. He does need the rest though, and I need to rest too!!! He starts pre-school soon. In less than three weeks. I am pretty excited. I hope to get more cleaning done, get some grocery shopping done and a few other things while he's at school. Maybe I'll make bread again - some bagels for my husband for breakfast.
Friday night - at home and not much to do!!
Good evening!
