A day in the life!

A day in the life of the Hills'. Today was a good day, a great day, I must say!

Last night I slept better! Lunesta as my sleep aid - each time I woke I went back to sleep almost immediately. I still will be praying for the night that I don't wake up at all. I will say - I made it throughout the day without feeling exhausted or like I couldn't move. I made it past my normal "tired time" in the afternoon without even thinking about feeling tired. A good day!

The weather - BEAUTIFUL! Beautiful and we took full advantage. Granted, we didn't know how beautiful until about 10:30 am (after Micah woke from her nap). At that point we decided to walk to Sharon Woods to play at the park. We packed a lunch for the kids and fruit as snacks for ourselves and headed out. (funny we RUSHED to get out the door and it still takes us 30 min). 35 min later we are at Sharon Woods - Tyler, of course, must eat before he does anything, and Micah was swinging (one of her favorite outside activities). So the whole family played on the swings, the climbing toys (even Micah) and the slide. We chatted with other parents and the kids ate lunch. A great day!!!

On the way home Micah fell asleep in the stroller and Tyler attempted to. Micah is sick and drugged with benadryl at this point - so this nap was unexpected and very helpful, actually - because of her sickyness!!! A good day!

Once we were home, Dave and I had lunch while the kids played and after our lunch we all played together. Then nap time - a late nap for both kids. But naps did happen at the same time (mostly). A good day!!

During nap time (usually my very tired time - because of sleep deprivation) Dave went to Kohl's and spent his $30.00 cash card (thanks mom) on a new pair of jeans and I raked leaves - I had so much energy. A great day!!!

3:30 wake for Tyler (I have to wake him or he won't sleep at night) - then Tyler and daddy went to Home Depot and mommy got about 10 min of down time. A good day.

Micah woke up about 4:20 and from then until dinner the whole family enjoyed the outdoors. Dad raking leaves, Tyler jumping around and playing with sticks, Micah in the exersaucer and mom chatting with and monitoring everyone (and running in and out of the house to prepare dinner). A good day.

After dinner we had our regular routine of playing, wrestling and of course taking turns cleaning up. Tyler and Micah decided to have a little jam session. Tyler on the bells, Micah on the tambourine and Mom had to do some singing. It was fun. A great day.

Now Micah is in bed (dad did it all by himself - mom didn't have to go it an pat her butt at all to get her to sleep) and Tyler is getting a bath. Bedtime soon for Tyler.
